I feel like I have come full circle with this wonderful
school. My son attended Live Oak Preschool from 1999-2001,
and I returned from being a parent, to the joy of being
a teacher in 2006. Prior to returning to Live Oak, I was
a kindergarten teacher for 5 years in the Healdsburg area.
In August of 2007, I became the Director of Live Oak, and
am thrilled to be a part of this wonderful learning environment
and work alongside a very dedicated and talented teaching
staff. Each day that I walk into the doors of Live Oak,
I am instantly reminded of the joys of childhood. I am inspired
as I watch the children learning from one another and experimenting
with new ideas and materials. |

This is my 16th year at Live Oak. Every year working with
children gets better! I love the laughter, innocence and
loving ways of preschool children. I feel fortunate to work
at Live Oak where I have played a part in nurturing children’s
spirits emotionally and socially, while helping them learn
the skills to get ready for kindergarten and the next level
of education. |

Judi Fors, Enrichment Teacher
I have been a preschool teacher for over 30 years and have
enjoyed the last 14 years at Live Oak. Presently, I am the
Resource/Enrichment Teacher. I am an advocate for early
literacy and have created a lending library at Live Oak.
I am also very good friends with a little mouse named Twitch
who resides at our school and corresponds with the children.
These are just some of the many ways I am able to enrich
our program. There is nothing more gratifying than being
a part of the development and wonder of young children. |

I have been a part of the Live Oak family for 8 years and
loved every minute of it. I started my relationship with
Live Oak as a parent and have witnessed the magic Live Oak
provides for all children. I feel so fortunate to work with
such warm, wonderful, qualified people. I feel just as lucky
to play with such fun, energetic, amazing children. Live
Oak is a passion for me and I love coming to play - oh!
I mean work! :-) |

I have always told myself that I would never work at a place
longer than one year, if I wasn't enjoying what I was doing.
I am now in my fourth year at Live Oak, and the love that
I have developed for this school and this stage in a child's
life is enormous. Keeping life fun starts
with a play based environment for both children and teachers.
Live Oak has become part of my family, which consists also
of my wife, Sarah, and my "little bug," Simone Ray, who
will be attending Live Oak beginning the fall of 2008. |

I am so honored to be part of the teaching team here at
Live Oak. I have been teaching preschool for 16 years
and feel very grateful that I get to spend so much of my
time with curious, wise, and loving young children. I
may be their "teacher," but I always have much to learn
from the children. When I'm not teaching I love to camp,
hike, and dance. I live in Forestville with my husband,
Sean, nine-year-old step-son, Forrest, and one-year-old
daughter, Seva. |

I'm very excited to be a new member of the Live Oak staff
this year. I've worked with preschool children for three
years and I absolutely adore it! There is no better feeling
than to be surrounded by children with little creative minds,
knowing that you are helping to build their foundation for
future learning. Along with teaching, my other passions
involve creating music and visual art. I feel very lucky
to be part of such a helpful and wonderful teaching team
here at Live Oak. |

Kacy Kohut, Office Manager
My journey at Live Oak started with us enrolling our now
nine-year-old in this "magical" place called Live Oak
over six years ago. I wanted so much to be a part of the
school so I volunteered with the school's fundraiser for
two years and that turned into me serving on the board
for another couple years. I just recently sent my twin
"Live Oak graduates" off to kindergarten and was able to
return to the work force as Live Oak's Office Manager. I
love everything about this school ...
I currently
live in Windsor with my husband, Rick, and our three
boys, Bennett (9), Kooper (5) ,and Preston (5). Together
they keep me quite busy and I wouldn't want it any other
way! |
